Wow Rebecca – i’m so sorry but I have to admit 2020 is keeping me kind of busy, speaking of my full time job (which is not blogging) and private life. That’s why I somehow haven’t noticed your comment earlier. I do promise though, next time it won’t take me that long to respond. 🙂 First of all, thank you for these kind words! When it comes to where to stay in Dubai, i’d say there isn’t really the „one“ area to recommend. Dubai is pretty big, but public transport and taxis are quite cheap, so you won’t have any problems or huge addditional costs to get around.
Anyways, for first-timers it might be helpful to either stay around the Downtown area (where the Burj Khalifa is located) close to Jumeirah Beach, or somewhere close to the famous Palm Jumeirah (or maybe ON the Palm Jumeirah). Staying in these 2 areas you’ll be able to reach the most commen touristy attractions in the easiest way, i’d say. What I actually did on my last Dubai trip was staying in 2 different hotels in 2 different areas.
